Google & an alliance of privacy groups have come together to back Yahoo in refusing to hand over emails without a warrant. Kudos to these brave folks for upholding our 4th Amendment rights! The U.S. Attorney’s office declined to respond, as the feddies are wont to do.

That’s right: We Americans may end up being tracked anywhere in this “free” country, physically and online, with no warrant. Considering that the PATRIOT ACT is still in place, I’m frankly not that surprised that this is making its way to the courts.
